The suspect in the murder of King of the Hill star, Jonathan Joss, has been released.
Joss sadly died aged 59 after being shot and killed on June 1, as confirmed by police.
Authorities shared that they were called to a shooting in progress in the San Antonio area of Texas at 7pm on Sunday. They sadly found the actor “near the roadway”, on the ground.
They then started “life saving measures” but when paramedics arrived on the scene, he was sadly pronounced dead.
Police then detained a 56-year-old suspect, Sigfredo Alvarez Cejam, who had driven from the scene. It was later confirmed that Cejam was Joss’s neighbor.

Now, it has been reported that Cejam was booked for murder but is now out of jail after posting his $200,000 bail only days following his arrest. He will now be required to wear an ankle monitor and be placed under house arrest as well as having random drug and alcohol testing done.
The star was well known for his work as a voice actor, playing John Redcorn on the show that aired in the 90s. He was given the role after the previous actor, Victor Arron, was killed in a car accident in 1996.

It had just been revealed that Joss was scheduled to come back for the revival, that will be released in August on Hulu.
As well as his success in the show, Joss also worked on a recurring role in Parks and Recreation, as well as Tulsa King, Ray Donovan, True Grit, The Magnificent Seven, and many others.
He will be missed, RIP.
